Spider veins and more prominent varicose veins can tarnish an otherwise flawless complexion. They can be unsightly, ranging in severity from fine lines to larger, raised rope-like formations that cause irritation and pain. Sclerotherapy is a non-surgical vein removal treatment that can safely and effectively eliminate unwanted veins in a single session that only takes half an hour or less. It is considered to be the gold standard for vein removal because of its ability to achieve exceptional results with minimal side effects.

Introduced almost a century ago, sclerotherapy has been proven time and time again to consistently remove unwanted and non-functional spider veins. Because we take great care in protecting your safety, our patients experience a beautiful improvement of their complexion with little to no discomfort. The most common areas to treat are the legs, however we are able to safely target unwanted veins on the face, hands and feet as well.
Your Sclerotherapy Treatment
Patient safety is our main concern. As a result, we always conduct a medical examination before every treatment to reduce the possibility of negative side effects. If it’s your first time, you’ll also have a discussion of the treatment and its related risks so that you can make an informed decision on whether you’d like to undergo the procedure.
The actual treatment involves the injection of a sterile solution (sclerosant) into the unwanted vein. This solution permanently alters the vein wall so that it can be naturally absorbed by the body in the weeks to months after your treatment.
While some temporary bruising, redness and tenderness may occur, you will be able to return to your normal activities immediately after the procedure. In some cases, you may need to wear a compression stocking to facilitate the healing process, however you won’t need to rest.
In a few weeks to months, you’ll notice targeted veins gradually disappear, leaving you with no trace of their prior presence.
