Nose reshaping (rhinoplasty): Reshaping the nose by reducing size, removing a hump, changing the shape of the tip or bridge, narrowing nostrils, or changing the angle between the nose and upper lip. It addresses external appearance as well as internal function.
Do have a bothersome bump or wide nostrils? Do you have a large tip? Do your nostrils droop? Do you experience trouble breathing? The purpose of this procedure is to enhance your appearance and may also aid breathing.
Your ability to breathe depends in part on the anatomical configuration inside your nose. Dr. Brown will examine your nose to determine it's condition. Previous injuries, allergies, heredity, emotions and seasonal changes can also influence your ability to breathe. If you have a breathing problem, Dr. Brown will evaluate these and other factors at the time of consultation.
Recovery from rhinoplasty for returning to work is 1 to 2 weeks. More strenuous activity will take 2 to 3 weeks.
