Under the medical direction of Dr. Stephen Brown, board certified plastic surgeon, Jenny De Ruiter R.N. will design an injectable filler treatment that gives you the natural, refreshed and rested appearance you desire. As a facial stylist, Jenny will take the time to learn more about you and your enhancement goals. She'll listen to your needs so that she can better inform you of the options offered to you from the various injectable filler products we have available. Jenny has such an outstanding professional reputation that in addition to being the medical injector at Briarwood Cosmetic Surgical Centre, she trains doctors and other nurses on injectable products and technique. As such, she has gained leagues of patients who are highly satisfied with the results she helps them achieve.
You can choose from the following injectable filler products:
- The Juvéderm® family of products: Ultra, Ultra Plus, Voluma and Volbella
Jenny will talk about each filler during your pre-treatment consultation to help you determine the right one to address your concerns.
How Do Fillers Work?
True to their name, fillers work by "filling" in the areas that you wish to improve with a bio-compatible substance, in the form of hyaluronic acid or collagen, in a gentle injection process that normally takes under 20 minutes. An improvement can be seen immediately after the procedure is performed, but because temporary bruising and swelling related to the injection process may occur, you'll see the optimal results gradually appear as those effects subside (usually in a couple of days to weeks, depending on your body's natural healing ability). Your improvement will last for a few months to over a year, or longer if routine treatments are scheduled.
As aesthetic medicine turns to non-surgical and less invasive methods of facial rejuvenation, injectable fillers have established themselves as a first choice for patients who don't have the time, or patience, to tolerate long recovery periods.
