Facial Implant surgery can be performed on an outpatient basis with local anesthesia and oral or IV sedation. Stitches are either removed in 3 to 5 days, or are dissolvable. Bruising is minimal and most swelling subsides after 1 to 2 weeks, however residual swelling can last for several months.
